Pune: 15 boys partying with minor son of Vishal Agarwal quizzed in hit-and-run case

Pune: The police have probed the 15 boys who were partying with the minor son of builder Vishal Agarwal involved in the hit-and-run case.

Each one of them contributed Rs 2,500 to the party. The remaining Rs 48,000 bill was paid by the child in conflict with law (CCL), Agarwal’s son.

The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on Wednesday directed to extend the CCL’s stay in the observation home till June 25. The CCL driving his father’s Porsche car hit two IT engineers in Kalyani Nagar on May 19. Both died in the accident.

Following a thorough investigation into the case, the police arrested the CCL’s parents Vishal and Shivani Agarwal, his grandfather Surendra Kumar Agarwal, two doctors Dr Ajay Taware, Dr Shrihari Halnor and peon Atul Ghatkamble from the Sassoon Hospital for trying to protect the CCL and pub owners and staff for serving liquor to the minors.

The CCL visited two pubs, Cosie and Blak, before the accident. He joined his friends there and consumed alcohol. The police quizzed the 15 boys, who partied with the CCL. Each one had contributed Rs 2,500 while the CCL paid the remaining Rs 48,000 bill. This was revealed during the investigation. The CCL’s blood samples were changed in the Sassoon Hospital.

Statements of 6-7 staff members and nurses from the Forensic Science Department of the Sassoon Hospital were recorded. Sassoon Hospital Medical Superintendent Yellappa Jadhav’s statement was recorded on Wednesday (June 12).

Aryan Neekhara’s obscene rap song

A video clip of an obscene rap song went viral on social media after the hit-and-run case. There was a rumour that the CCL posted the rap song on social media. The Cyber Police investigated the issue and found that Delhi-based Aryan Nikhara had made it and Shubham Shinde posted it. The police issued notices to both. Aryan, along with his lawyer, appeared before the police recently. Cops quizzed him too.
