Police inspector who had demanded ₹1 lakh or iPhone, arrested red handed while accepting bribe by ACB

The arrested PI has been identified as Vijay Shivdas Mane (53). He was stationed at Dharavi police station. An FIR of cheating was registered against the complainant and his mother on November 16, 2022. The complainant had been arrested on November 16, 2022. Later, the complainant met PI Vijay Mane.
Mane had demanded ₹1 lakh or an iPhone to delete one of the sections in the FIR. Since the complainant did not want to pay a bribe, he lodged a complaint with the ACB. The complaint was verified.
On March 24, 2023 after a compromise, PI Vijay Mane accepted a bribe of ₹40,000 in the presence of panches and he was arrested red handed. An FIR has been registered against him and he has been arrested.
