Police arrest a gang terrorising people in Yerwada
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | A gang vandalized the vehicles parked on the road to terrorize residents in the area. The mob damaged 12 cars parked between Bhagwa Zenda Chowk and Sevak Chowk in Yerwada. School vans, auto-rickshaws, and two-wheelers were vandalized. Four persons have been arrested by the Yerwada Police in this regard. The incident happened around 2 am on Wednesday. (Pune Crime News)
The accused have been identified as Siddesh Shendge, Tejas Shendge from Yerwada, Karan alias Chikya Adagale, Moin Shaikh. Adisingh and Papyasingh were absconding. Police were searching for them. Bharat Chandrakant Vajani (48) from Yerwada lodged a complaint at the Yerwada Police Station. The police have registered an FIR against seven people under sections 143, 148, 149, 427 of the IPC and under the Maharashtra Police Act.
The accused vandalized the complainant’s school van by hitting it with wooden bamboo and sticks. The police have arrested four persons in this case. Their absconding accomplices were being searched.
The action was taken by a team under the guidance of PI Uttam Chakre and API Pramod Khatke.
