Standing Committee chairman’s election: BJP gives opportunity to Hemant Rasne for fourth time
Pune : NpNews24 Online – PMC Standing Committee Chairman | The BJP has once again given an opportunity to PMC’s Standing Committee Chairman Hemant Rasne and the NCP has given candidature to its corporator Pradip Gaikwad. The term of the Pune Municipal Corporation is ending on March 14 and the new committee will get only 14 days to conduct its business.
The election of the chairman of the Standing Committee is going to be held on March 4. Since the BJP has a majority, the election of Hemant Rasne is nearly certain. Rasne will be the only corporator who has become chairman of the Standing Committee more than once.
Hemant Rasne and Pradip Gaikwad submitted their nomination forms to the municipal secretary on Monday. Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar is going to present the 2022-23 budget to the Standing Committee on March 7.
