Pimpri Chinchwad Police Arrest Six More from Gujarat and Mumbai in MD Drug Case

Pimpri: Pimpri-Chinchwad police arrested six suspects from Gujarat and Mumbai after 20 kg of mephedrone (MD) drugs worth Rs 20 crore was seized in Khed taluka on October 7. The arrests were made after the third phase of the investigation into the case revealed interstate connections

The arrested suspects have been identified as Parashuram Bhalchandra Jogal (44) residing at Thane and orginally from Sindhudurg, Mandar Baliram Bhosale (49) from Thane, Ram Manoharlal Gurbani (43) a resident of West Mumbai, Arvindkumar Prakashchand Lohare (39), a resident of Oshiwara in Mumbai, originally from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, Manoj Eknath Palande (40), residing at Varse in Raigad district and Afzal Hussain Abbas Sunsara (52), a resident of Jogeshwari in West Mumbai and originally from Banaskantha in North Gujarat.

Earlier, police had arrested Chetan Fakkad Dandwate (28) of Shirur, Anandgir Madhugir Gosavi (25) of Jalgaon, Sanjeevkumar Bansi Raut (44), from Jharkhand, Tousif Hasan Mohammad Taslim (31), a resident of Muzaffarnagar, Tushar Suryakant Kale from Borivali and Rakesh Srikant Khanivadekar alias Rocky from Vasai and Nigerian citizen Zhubi Ifnei Udoko.

The accused were found to have manufactured 132 kg of MD drugs at a company in Ranjangaon and 15 kg at Mahad in Raigad district. Accused Arvind Kumar took Rs 35 lakh to train to manufacture MD. The police have seized Rs 60 lakh and Rs 25 lakh from the main suspects Tushar Kale and Rakesh Khanivadekar respectively, and land papers worth Rs 75 lakh. So far, 20 accused have been arrested and more accused have been identified and their search is on.
