Pimpri: Action against 3073 persons for traffic rule violations in one week

NPnews24 Online Pimpri: Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner RK Padmanabhan on Thursday said that action has been initiated against 3,073 persons who violated traffic rules in the last one week. He had given instructions on May 9 to launch crackdown on errant drivers.

Apart from the local police stations, the Crime Branch was also asked to clamp down on violators of traffic rules.

During the week, 6782 vehicles were checked by the police. Among them, punitive action was taken against 3,073 persons. The cases were filed against 145 shops and hotels for operating beyond the time limit.
