PCMC Lottery Draw | Lottery draw to be held for 938 flats built by PCMC; Citizens can apply from tomorrow

PIMPRI : NpNews24 Online  –  PCMC Lottery Draw | As a part of Centre’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the PCMC has invited applications from interested citizens for 938 flats built in Pimpri and Akurdi. Those interested have to pay a booking amount of ₹10,000 and ₹500 as registration charges and can apply till July 28. A housing project in Akurdi was reserved for people who were affected by the road reservation. In Akurdi 568 flats and 370 flats in Pimpri have been constructed a year ago. (PCMC Lottery Draw)

 

Since there was no response from the affected people, the project has now been reserved for economically weaker sections. A proposal was sent to the state government but it is yet to be approved. The PCMC has invited applications from interested citizens taking it for granted that the government will approve the proposal. Interested citizens would have to apply on https://pcmc.pmay.org website. The forms can be filled from Wednesday.

 

For city residents, the annual income should be up to ₹3 lakh and the applicant and his family members should not own a property anywhere in India. Those who had applied for allotment earlier and did not get the flats can also apply. It is compulsory to submit caste certificate if a flat is for a reserved category. If an applicant’s name is not shortlisted, ₹10,000 would be returned to him.

 

There are 568 flats in Akurdi and 370 in Pimpri. There are 938 flats admeasuring 323 sq foot. For buying a flat in Pimpri, the allotee will have to pay ₹7.92 lakh and ₹7.35 lakh for a flat in Akurdi. The Central government will give ₹1.5 lakh and the state government will give ₹1 lakh. In both the projects, 5 per cent flats are reserved for specially-challenged, 50 per cent for general category, SC (13 pc), ST (7 pc) and OBC (30 pc).

 

“Citizens can apply from June 28 and the deadline for submitting forms is July 28. Citizens should check the terms and conditions before filling up forms and should not fall prey to promises made by outsiders,” said Anna Bodde, Assistant Commissioner, Slum Rehabilitation Department, PCMC.
