Pune : NpNews24 Online – Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College Pune | The National Service Scheme (NSS) team of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be) University New Law College Pune has organised its special winter camp 2022-2023 from January 29, 2023 to February 04, 2023. (Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College Pune)
In the camp there were 32 students comprised of 19 girls and 13 boys, who adopted the village Khanapur.
Besides the traditional activity which are performed in any NSS camp, this time the NSS Volunteers of New Law College Pune made an attempt to digitally empower the village of Khanapur which was adopted by the college.
This was an innovative step towards digitalization of the village, which was articulated by the Dean faculty of Law and I/C Principal of New Law College Pune Dr. Ujwala Bendale madam.
The NSS Volunteers of New Law College Pune, generated ABHA (Ayushmaan Bharat Health Account) Cards for the villagers so that villagers can get health benefits provided by the government through various schemes.
ABHA Cards are useful for people in a manner that they need not to carry their old medical reports from one hospital to another, once it is linked with ABHA Card of the person concerned it will be accessible online.
The students have successfully covered 80% of the village regarding the generation of ABHA Cards, and the rest 20% will be covered by various visits to the village conducted by the students in the near future.
The students had spread the awareness regarding cyber-crime through the medium of skits.
