No Decision has been Taken Yet to Bring NRC Across the Country : Government

New Delhi: While the opposing is going on in-country against government for the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), at the same time, the government has given a written reply in Parliament House today. The government says that it has not taken any decision yet to implement it.

Minister of State for Home Nityananda Rai gave this information in written reply to the questions of Chandan Singh and Nama Nageswara Rao in the House. Rai said, “So far no decision has been taken to prepare NRC at the national level.” Members had asked whether the government has any plan to bring NRC across the country ?

The government has, of course, responded in writing to the NRC in the Lok Sabha but opposition MPs raised slogans against the NRC and the CAA in the Rajya Sabha.
