News Police Stations In Pune | Sinhagad Road, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Hadapsar, LoniKalbhor, Lonikand, Chandan Nagar and Chatuhshrungi police stations to be split !

Nanded City, Ambegaon, Fursungi, Kale Padal, Wagholi, Kharadi and Baner police stations will be opened by August 15?

PUNE : (Nitin Patil) – News Police Stations In Pune | At present, there are 33 police stations under the jurisdiction of the Pune police commissionerate. However, considering the increasing urbanisation and population growth, soon seven more police stations are going to be set up. A proposal has been sent to the state government and a follow-up is being taken. Meanwhile, Sinhagad Road police station, Bharati Vidyapeeth police station, Hadapsar police station, Loni Kalbhor police station, Lonikand police station, Chandan Nagar police station and Chatuhshrungi police stations are going to be split and new police stations will be set up.

The Sinhagad Road police station will be split to create Nanded city police station, Bharati Vidyapeeth police station will be split to create Ambegaon police station, Hadapsar and Loni Kalbhor police stations will be split to create Fursungi and Kale Padal police stations, Lonikand police station will be split to create Wagholi police station, Chandan Nagar police station will be split to create Kharadi police station and Chatuhshrungi police station will be split to create Baner police station.

 

Loni Kalbhor, Hadapsar, Lonikand, Sinhagad Road, Chatuhshrungi and Bharati Vidyapeeth police stations are considered as A grade stations. Considering the population in the police stations and nearby areas, a need is being felt about setting up new police stations. Meanwhile, proposals of setting up new police stations in Baner, Wagholi, Nanded City, Kharadi, Kale Padal, Fursungi, Ambegaon have been sent to the state government. Now, proposals of creating seven new police stations have been sent to the state government and the Pune police are doing a follow up.

 

Efforts are being made for earmarking land, manpower and other necessary things for setting up police stations. Sources in the Home Department have told www.policenama.com that the police stations are likely to be opened before August 15. Joint CP Sandeep Karnik said that the proposals about seven police stations had been sent to the state government and the city police are doing a follow-up to ensure that they are opened as early as possible.

 

Local residents have demanded that police stations should be started as early as possible at Fursungi, Kale Padal and Wagholi. Land has been reserved at Nanded City for setting up a police station. Considering the growth in population in these areas, there is a need to set up police stations in these areas.

 

Five and a half lakh people reside in the limits of Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. Bharati Vidyapeeth police chowki, Katraj police chowki, Ambegaon Pathar police chowki and Datta Nagar police chowkis are functioning under the jurisdiction of Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. A proposal has been sent to the government that the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station should be split and Ambegaon police station should be split.
Five lakh people reside in the limits of Hadapsar police station. Hadapsar Police Chowki, Magarpatta Police Chowki, Tukai Nagar Police Chowki, Fursungi police chowki and Manjri police chowki are located in its jurisdiction. A large part of Haveli taluka is located in the limits of Loni Kalbhor police station. Hence, a proposal about splitting Loni Kalbhor and Hadapsar police stations to create Fursungi and Kale Padal police stations has been submitted.

 

Three and a half lakh people reside in limits of Lonikand police station. There is a proposal of splitting Lonikand police station and setting up Wagholi police station. Three lakh people reside in limits of Sinhagad Road police station. However, the population in the area is increasing. At present, Abhiruchi Police Chowki, Vadgaon police chowki and Narhe police chowki exist in the area. Efforts are being made to set up a separate police station at Nanded City and a proposal has been submitted to the state government about this.

Around four and a half lakh people reside in limits of Chandan Nagar police station. Mahatma Phule police chowki, Shivrana Pratap police chowki and Kharadi police chowki are located in its jurisdiction. Chandan Nagar police station is going to be split and a separate police station is to be set up at Kharadi.

 

Six lakh people stay in limits of Chatuhshrungi police station. Pandav Nagar police chowki, Poona Gate police chowki, Pashan police chowki and Aundh police chowki are located in its jurisdiction. A proposal about setting up a police station at Baner by splitting Chatuhshrungi police station has been submitted to the state government.

 

The efforts to set up seven police stations have gathered pace. Home Department sources have said that these stations will be inaugurated before August 15. However, the administration may have tough time in finding adequate space, manpower, vehicles and other facilities for the new police stations.
