New 7 Seater Wagon R Spotted During Testing, Is Maruti ready to launch?

Mumbai : There are reports about Maruti Suzuki’s 7 seater Wagon R once again. According to media reports, Maruti Suzuki may launch its 7 seater Wagon R. The Wagon R is one of Maruti’s best-selling cars.

According to indiacarnews, a 7 seater Wagon R appeared near Delhi during testing. Which now indicates that Maruti Suzuki is working on a 7 seater Wagon R. Last year too, there were reports about the 7 seater Wagon R.

The Wagon R seen during testing was much longer than the standard Maruti Wagon R. According to reports, the 7 seater Wagon R will be a few hundred millimeters longer than the standard model, but the company is about to launch it in the 4 meter less segment. However, Maruti Suzuki has not given any information about the 7 seater Wagon R.

If you look at the look, then there can be many changes in the 7 seater Wagon R compared to the standard model. The new Wagon R grille, front and rear bumpers and separate headlamps and tail lamps will be available. However, its platform, engine options and most body panels will be of Wagon R.

In Maruti’s lineup, it will be below the Multi Purpose Vehicles (MPV) Ertiga. Maruti will launch the new 7 seater Wagon R against the Renault Triber MPV and the Datsun Go + MPV.

Earlier last year, it was reported that the new 7 seater Wagon R will be sold exclusively through the company’s premium NEXA dealership. Because the existing WagonR sales in the market is continuously decreasing.

The new Wagon R 7 seater MPV can only be given a 1.2 liter petrol engine. This 1.2 liter four-cylinder petrol unit generates power of 82bhp and pickup torque of 113Nm. It gets a 5-speed manual or optional AGS transmission.

The concept of the 7-seater model of the Wagon R was introduced by Maruti Suzuki at a motor show in Indonesia in 2013, according to reports that may be launched in Indonesia first. It is expected to be introduced in the Indian market as well.
