NCPCR notice to Priyanka Gandhi

Npnews24 online: Video featuring Gandhi and a group of children in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi has generated buzz on social media. Congress leader is seen clamping her mouth in shock when a profanity crops up in the interaction.

Due to that, Apex child right body, NCPCR, (National Commission for Protection of Child Rights) has issued a notice to congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra over her alleged use of children in election campaigning.

NCPCR stated that the complaint pertains to a video in which children were seen using abusive language in front of Gandhi.

In its notice, the child right body objected to the use of children in election campaigning. It also underlined that the Bombay High Court in an order on August 4, 20014 said that children should not be included in election campaigns.

The body asked the congress general secretary to provide details, within three days, of the names and addresses of these children, places where sloganeering took place and how the children reached there.

Gandhi who was campaigning in Amethi for her brother, have to answered to notice from NCPCR.
