Navi Mumbai International Airport : BJP to protest over Navi Mumbai Airport name row, Uddhav Govt. deploys 4000 police

Mumbai : BJP and Shiv Sena have come face to face over the dispute of Navi Mumbai International Airport name. On one hand BJP wants to name the airport as Dinkar Babu Patil and on the other hand Shiv Sena wants to name the airport after Balasaheb. BJP is conducting a protest march with the project affected people regarding its demand.

BJP will take out this march till CIDCO. However, this march of BJP has not been allowed by the police. Police have imposed Section 144 in the area. Along with this, the Mumbai-Pune route has also been diverted. As a precaution, about 4 thousand policemen have been deployed on the road.

According to the Mumbai Kriti Samiti, about 1 lakh people are planning to take to the road today. That is why along with 4 thousand policemen, 7 SRPF companies and Extra Women Police Force have been deployed. According to the news, the protesters will try to move towards the CIDCO office from different areas.

GVK group has taken ideas from the lotus flower for the design of Navi Mumbai International Airport. Navi Mumbai International Airport can be entered from two directions. These entrances will be made from west and east direction. The airport is planned to be developed in four phases. It has two parallel runways which will be able to operate with simultaneous expressway, metro and water transport connectivity.
