Navi Mumbai Airport: Chief Minister wants work completion by 2021

Navi Mumbai : Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has given a deadline to complete the work of the ambitious Navi Mumbai Airport by May 2021. Thackeray called a meeting of Mumbai International Airport Limited officials and gave these instructions.
The previous Devendra Fadnavis government had claimed that the airport would take off in December 2019. However, the deadline was May 2020 and then December 2020. This work has not yet been completed.
Therefore, the airport will not be able to start from next December. Against this backdrop, Chief Minister Thackeray said that the airport should be operational by May 2021 in any case. After the opening of this airport, investment will come to Maharashtra. Therefore, in any case, the work should be completed by May 2021, said the Chief Minister.
