Case of theft of laptops in Panbara ashram shala in Nandurbar district solved in 48 hours

Nandurbar : NpNews24 Online Nandurbar Crime | The case of theft of laptops in the Panbara government ashram shala in Navapur taluka has been solved in 48 hours. The 22 laptops stolen from the jurisdiction of the Visarwadi police station have been seized and it has been revealed that minor students had stolen the laptops for fun.

 

Along with those who purchased the laptops, 5 students have been arrested, said Superintendent of Police PR Patil.

 

On February 12, 22 laptops worth Rs 2 lakh 64 thousand were stolen from the computer room of the government ashram shala located at Panbara in Navapur taluka between 12.30 am to 5 am. A complaint was filed by Prakash Parashram Vasave at the Visarwadi police station. The news about the left of laptops had created a flutter in the area.

 

Superintendent of Police PR Patil decided that the case must be solved as early as possible. He discussed the matter with Upper Superintendent of Police Vijay Pawar, sub divisional police officer Sachin Hire and guided API of Visarvadi police station Nitin Patil to solve the case.

 

Nitin Patil created a team of PSI Bhushan Baisane and four policemen and another team including himself and two policemen.

 

The teams started questioning those who were on the police radar. API Nitin Patil came to know that a SSC student of Sonkhamb ashram shala has a laptop of Lenovo company. The team of Bhushan Baisane went to Sonkhamb and questioned the student about the laptop. He admitted stealing the laptops along with four of his friends. He handed over the laptops to the police team which were seized after completing the legal formalities.

 

One of the stolen laptops was sold to Dhaval Kiritbhai Prajapat, a resident of Avdhootwadi in Navapur taluka for Rs 8,000. The police have seized that laptop after completing legal formalities.

 

Dhaval Kiritbhai Prajapat has been arrested for purchasing a stolen laptop. When other students were questioned, they admitted stealing the laptops for fun. They were warned against repeating the act and the police reiterated that those who purchase stolen goods will not be spared.

 

The action was taken by a team of police officials including Visarwadi police station in charge Nitin Patil, PSI Bhushan Baisane, Linesh Padvi, Raju Kokani, Anil Rathod, Vipul Naik, Pintu Pavra, Atul Panpatil and Vishal Gavit under the guidance of Superintendent of Police PR Patil, Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Pawar and sub divisional police officer Sachin Hire.
