Muslims in India are Safer than any other Country across the world : Piyush Goyal

NP NEWS 24 : New Delhi : Union Minister Piyush Goyal said on Thursday that India’s Muslims are safer than anywhere else in the world. Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said this while addressing the session “Strategic Outlook : India” held at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2020 on Thursday. Goyal said that India is possibly one of the most inclusive societies in the world.

He said, “India is a country that welcomes all kinds of diverse views and opinions. Muslims in India are safer than any other part of the world with regard to providing equal opportunities.” He said that no discrimination of any kind is done in any government program. The minister further said, “When we provide electricity in every house, we do not ask their color or religion. When we deliver toilets, digital technology, bank accounts, cooking gas to every house, we do not ask their religion. All our programs are equal for all.”

Defending the amended citizenship law, Piyush Goyal said, “It is India’s duty to protect those who are tortured on religious grounds. India is the land which has the power of democracy, demographics, leadership, talent and opportunity. He said, every country has political opposition. A population registers are in every country. Every nation wants to know who is living in their country. It has no relation to citizenship. It is related to population.

Citizenship is a subject which every country protects, each country has its own rules and citizenship laws which the world respects.There are 57 Islamic countries in the world and every country except one or two respects the welfare work done by India for people by going beyond religion, said Railway and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal
