Mumbai roads turn into rivers as several parts get flooded due to heavy rains
Mumbai: Several parts of the Maximum City Mumbai got flooded and roads turned into rivers as heavy rains lashed the city since last night. Waterlogging has been reported from several areas including Lokhandwala, Veera Desai Road, Andheri, Parel.
Citizens are facing difficulties due to the waterlogging on the roads with vehicles stuck at various locations in the rain water.
Andheri subway has also been submerged and has been closed for all movement. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted torrential rains in Mumbai and adjoining areas for the next 24 hours.

Heavy rains has also flooded Mumbai’s Sion Railway Station. Passengers were stranded at Sion railway station amid heavy rains and heavy flooding. They had to wait for a long time for the trains to arrive which were affected due to flooding on the track. Heavy rains have made the situation so bad that the platform has also got flooded which has caused a lot of trouble to the people.

The local administration has appealed to Mumbaikars to proceed safely in view of the IMD forecast and warning for heavy rains on Wednesday (September 23) in Mumbai city.
