Mumbai – Pune Expressway to remain closed for two hour on Thursday

Pune city is the cultural capital, also an industrial and educational hub in Maharashtra and Mumbai is the financial capital of the country. Pune- Mumbai expressway connects these two main cities of India. There is always heavy traffic on Mumbai- Pune expressway. This expressway has reduced the traveling time between two important cities of Maharashtra for passengers. There are so many people who travel on daily basis for various reasons like jobs from one city two another. So it will be convenient for them if people take note of this block before leaving their home.

Pune- Mumbai expressway will be diverted to the old highway between 12 noon to 1 pm (for one hour) on Thursday. This decision has been taken to install information boards this route.

Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd (MSRDC) has said that it will be closed for only 40 minutes on Thursday. Traffic on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway will be diverted to the old highway from Shedung Phata as an alternative route.

Alternative routes should be used by drivers of all vehicles. During this period, heavy loaded vehicles will be stopped. Therefore, heavy vehicles should be planned before, so that traffic will not increase, appeals have been made by the traffic police.

Now this Mumbai-Pune road will remain closed on Thursday for installation of information boards, after Ganesh Utsav, there will be the same block on Pune – Mumbai highway for the installation of information boards. If there is any traffic in Borghat or anywhere on the highway, instructions boards will be installed near the alternative route for the passengers.

Some suggestions to passengers:

-People should plan before going from this highway otherwise they may be stuck in traffic tomorrow.

-Heavy loaded vehicles should follow the instructions given by traffic police to avoid disturbance to other vehicles.

– If possible, avoid going by this route at this particular time (12 noon to 1 pm).
