Mumbai Police files case against Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz and Sohail Khan

Mumbai : Mumbai Police on Monday registered a case of alleged violation of the Covid-19 quarantine rules against Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan and Sohail’s son Nirvana Khan, brothers of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Municipal bodies and police officials gave this information.

A civic body official said the trio were asked to stay in a hotel in suburban Bandra after returning to Mumbai from the UAE in the last week of December last year, but they instead moved to their home. A Khar police official said that a case has been registered against them under sections 188 and 269 of the Indian Penal Code and provisions of the Pandemic Act.

After the arrival of 2765 new cases of coronavirus infection in Maharashtra on Monday, the total number of infected people increased to 1947011 while 10362 patients were also infection free during this period. This information was given by the state health department.

In Mumbai city, 516 new cases of Covid-19 were reported, taking the total number of infected people to 294986 in the state capital, while the death toll rose to 11138 after three more deaths in the metropolis on Monday.
