Mumbai: Amit Thackeray gets responsibility for North-East constituency for the upcoming Municipal corporation elections

Mumbai: With the upcoming Municipal corporation elections due next year, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackery son’s Amit Thackeray has been given the responsibility of the North-East constituency for the upcoming elections. Amit will be accompanied by Sandeep Deshpande. The responsibility of South Mumbai has been given to Nitin Sardesai and Manoj Chavan.

Amit’s entry into politics was announced by former MLA and senior leader Bala Nangdakar during the party’s Maha Adhiveshan at Nesco ground in Goregaon on January 23 last year.

As part of the upcoming elections, Raj Thackery has made some changes in the party. Amit Thackery, who has become active in politics, has been given a new responsibility.

An important meeting of MNS leaders and office bearers was held in Mumbai today. The meeting also discussed party organization and new formations.

Also, with the Mumbai elections in mind, a team of 1 Lok Sabha leader and 1 General Secretary has been formed. This committee will go to that Lok Sabha and take stock.

The team that has been formed will go to their respective areas and hold meetings of office bearers and activists and will prepare a report and submit it to Raj Thackeray, informed Nitin Sardesai.

The team will submit its report to Raj Thackeray by February 25. Similarly, teams will be formed for Thane, Pune, Nashik, and Kalyan Dombivali, outside of Mumbai.
