MNS Chief Raj Thackeray to Bestow Awards Upon Distinguished Journalists at Pimpri Chinchwad Editors Guild Ceremony

Pune : NpNews24 Online – The Pimpri Chinchwad Editors Guild Awards is going to honour senior journalists who are fighting for rights of journalists. The programme will be held on Saturday (August 19) at 9 am at GD Madgulkar auditorium in Nigdi. The main speaker will be MNS Chief Raj Thackeray. The awards will be presented by Raj Thackeray to Maharashtra Times Editor Parag Karandikar, Lokshahi Marathi Editor Kamlesh Sutar, ABP Majha’s Rahul Kulkarni, senior journalist Advait Mehta and eight other senior journalists.
During the first session of the programme to be held from 9.30 am to 11 am, a discussion has been organised on ‘I and the fight for journalists’ rights’. Editor of Sakal Samrat Phadnis, Editor of Lokmat’s Pune edition Sanjay Awate, Editor of Pune edition of Pudhari Sunil Mali, Editor of Civic Mirror Avinash Thorat, journalist Sandeep Mahajan and Mahesh Tiwari of News18 Lokmat (Gadchiroli) will take part in the discussion.
Municipal Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Shekhar Singh, Maval MP Shrirang Barne, Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge, BJP city Unit chief Shankar Jagtap, Pimpri MLA Anna Bansode, former MLA of Bhosari Vilas Lande, NCP City Unit Chief Ajit Gavane, former corporator Vitthal Nana Kate, Rahul Kalate, MNS City Unit chief Sachin Chikhale will be present.
The awards will be presented in the second session. The awards will be presented by MNS Chief Raj Thackeray to Maharashtra Times Editor Parag Karandikar, Lokshahi Marathi Editor Kamlesh Sutar, ABP Majha’s Rahul Kulkarni, senior journalist Advait Mehta, Anil Muske of Punyanagari, digital media journalist Amit Modak, journalist Sandeep Mahajan, Avinash Khandare of Lokmat (Yavatmal), Associate Editor of News State Maharashtra Ashwini Satav-Doke, Chief Editor of Policenama Nitin Patil, Ashish Deshmukh of Pudhari (Pune), Mahesh Tiwari of News18 Lokmat (Gadchiroli), Govind Wakade of News18 Lokmat.
A discussion on ‘ Law against assaults on journalists, reality and requirement’ has been organised in the third session. Maharashtra Times Editor Parag Karandikar, Lokshahi Marathi Editor Kamlesh Sutar, Times Now Marathi Editor Mandar Phanse, BBC Marathi Editor Ashish Dixit, Sakal’s Mumbai Bureau Chief Vinod Raut and ABP Majha’s Rahul Kulkarni will take part in the discussion. The compere of the programme will be writer and presenter Vasundhara Kashikar.
