MLA Sunil Tingre On Illegal Business | NCP MLA Sunil Tingre seeks action against illegal pubs, restaurants in Wadgaon Sheri constituency
PUNE : MLA Sunil Tingre On Illegal Business | NCP MLA Sunil Tingre has made a demand to Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr that strict action should be taken against unauthorised pubs, terrace restaurants and other illegal businesses in Wadagon Sheri constituency. The CP assured him that a drive would be soon undertaken against illegal structures.
MLA Tingre along with residents of Kalyani Nagar, met CP Kumaarr on Friday. The memorandum which was submitted to Kumaarr states that huge number of pubs and rooftop restaurants are being operated illegally in Viman Nagar, Kalyani Nagar, Kharadi, Lohegaon and Vishrantwadi areas till late in the night.
Local residents have to suffer on account of the sound system which is operated at full volume. Youths come out of these pubs in drunken stupor which leads to unpleasant incidents. Apart from this, at many places, illegal activities like unauthorised sale of alcohol, hookah parlours, gambling clubs, sale of drugs and massage parlours are being operated. Immediate action should be taken against these places. If the police dilly dally in taking action against these illegal joints, the attention of the state government would be drawn to this issue in the monsoon session of the state assembly, Tingre said.
Tingre was accompanied by Rachna Agrawal, Iqbal Jaffar, Monika Sharma, Sumit Karnik, Munir Vasantani, Kiran Malhotra, Nilesh Chouhan, Sachin Agashe, who are residents of Kalyani Nagar.
