MLA Rohit Pawar Travels by Mumbai Local; Shares his Experience on Twitter

Mumbai: NCP leader and MLA Rohit Pawar has once again won the hearts of netizens after he shared his pictures of his journey in a local train in Mumbai.

Rohit is known to treat his colleagues in a friendly manner. Besides, he also shares his moments with party workers through social media – be it a matter of going to a grandmother’s house for a meal or simply going to a store to buy toys.

In his tweet posted in Marathi, Rohit says “When I was in college in Mumbai, I used to travel by local train. Yesterday, after many days, I decided to travel by local between Andheri and Mira Road for some work and old memories came back.”

He hopes that this lifeline of Mumbai will be restored soon after overcoming the Covid-19 crisis.

Rohit shared photos of his local journey from his Twitter account. It is noteworthy that even before this, Rohit had visited Dabbawalas in Mumbai and traveled with them in local trains. At that time, Rohit had shared his experience of the day spent with Dabewala considering himself as one of them.

Mumbai local trains have been shut to the public since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a lockdown in the country due to the pandemic. Due to the decrease in Covid-19 cases, the local service is now being partially restored. However, ordinary citizens are still unable to avail local services. In addition, Rohit Pawar has expressed hope that local services should be started for the common man like before.
