Missing person found dead in boat incident

MUMBAI: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- The speedboat was going for the inauguration of the Shiv Smarak held in the Arabian Sea near Mumbai collapsed on the rock. After the accident, the funding program was cancelled. The Shiv Sangram’s 18 to 20 activists are safe but after the incident, Siddhesh Pawar was missing and found dead.

The Siddesh Pawar was the Charter Accountant (CA) and had married recently just before a few months ago. He was the resident of Mumbai and today he was going with one of his relatives. This relative also is in get a deep mental shock from this incident and has been admitted to hospital.

The inauguration ceremony of Shiv Smarak in the Arabian Sea near Girgaon Chowpatty was organized today. But the speedboat of the Shiv Sangram activists, collided with the rock and submerged inside the water. After that, the disaster management department has successfully rescued all the people from the boat and shifted them to safe place, but Siddesh Pawar from was still missing and finally found dead after searching operation of four hours.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that “A major accident could have happened but it is avoided by providing help on time, and this incident will be investigated in depth”

This incident is raising many questions like Why they hadn’t taken a big boat for going to such a big program… Why fibre boat was taken, instead of any other good boat… Why this boat was overloaded… Why there was only 6 to 7 life jackets for 24-25 people… Why they didn’t take any kind of advice before going to new places..

 

“Looking at the geographical location of this place, it is a difficult and almost impossible thing to construct the magnificent Shiv Smarak,” said by fishermen’s leader Damodar Tandel.
