Metro trains in Pune 

Pimpri – Chinchwad: npnews24 Online – Mahametro has been claiming to run the metro in Pimpri Chinchwad city till December, which has proved unsuccessful. However, the work of bringing the metro on track has been started from Monday. Yesterday, Metro coach Pimpri Chinchwad entered the city. Today, with the help of large cranes they were kept on track. It is hoped that the metro train will start running soon in the city. However, in the metro project, the name of Pimpri Chinchwad city is being displeased.

 Under the Pune Metro project, construction of the metro project is underway on these two routes from Pimpri Chinchwad to Swargate and Vanaj to Ramwadi. In June 2017, the indirect construction work has been started by Mahametro. Many works like metro train tracks, pillars, power supply, signals are starting at a fast pace. In 30 months the project has been completed. The depot of the Metro coach in Pune has not been done so far so that the Pune Metro has to depend on Nagpur for various fittings in the coach.

After completing the primary testing, fitting, dyeing and interior work in the Metro coach, two sets of six coaches were sent from Nagpur to Pune on December 22 for two trains. After an eight-day journey, these coaches entered Pimpri Chinchwad on Sunday. Today, the task of bringing them on the subway track was started with the help of a crane. There are three coaches in each set of metro trains, one of which will be women’s reserve. In a metro train, 950 to 970 passengers will be able to travel. These are fully air-conditioned coaches that will include many state-of-the-art facilities
