Mega Job fair to be held in Mumbai on Saturday; 7000 jobs available

Mumbai : NpNews24 Online  Maharojgar Melava | The ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Maharojgar Melava’ has been organised by the Mumbai City District Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre under the Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department of the State Government at the Elphinstone Technical High School, 3 Mahapalika Marg, Dhobi Lake, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Area, Fort, Mumbai from 10am onwards on Saturday. Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha has appealed to people to participate in the event as 7000 employment opportunities will be available in various renowned companies in this event.

In the meeting, representatives of reputed companies of Mumbai city will take part and conduct interviews. Entrepreneurship guidance and career counselling programmes have also been organised. The gathering will be inaugurated by Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Guardian Minister of Mumbai City District Deepak Kesarkar, Skill Development Commissioner Dr Ramaswamy N, Mumbai City Collector Rajeev Nivatkar, along with various entrepreneurs.

In the gathering, BVG India Ltd, ICJ, Spotlight, Smart Start, Buzz Work, TNS Enterprises, Yuvashakti, Imperative etc, will be participating. For eligible candidates from 10th, 12th, Graduate, ITI, Polytechnic, Engineering etc., a total of 7000 posts are available in various fields like Banking, ITIS, Tourism, Hospitality, HR Apprenticeship, Domestic Worker, Electronics, Management as well as Media and Entertainment.

Apprenticeship opportunities also available
For candidates who have passed one or two years technical course from industrial training institutes, apprenticeship posts are also available under the Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme in reputed companies.

Various government corporations providing financial assistance to self-employed candidates will participate in the meeting.
These include Annasaheb Patil Economic Backward Development Corporation, Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation,
Maulana Azad Minority Economic Development Corporation, Sahitya Ratna Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe Development Corporation. Stalls of these corporations will be set up to provide information about their plans and through these stalls, information about various schemes and guidance will be provided. Along with this, various government and private sector banks will also be participating.
Candidates will also be able to get information about various training schemes implemented by Maharashtra State Skill Development Society in the meeting.
