In this world of internet where not only the circulation for your work but also its feedback is faster than ever, there are perspectives that can make or break your image. This is what happened with a famous photojournalist from Italy.

An award-winning photojournalist Alessio Mamo shared his photo series of starving and poor people from India. His pictures depicted poor people standing in front of a table full of ‘fake food’ with their faces covered. He also mentioned in the caption under the pictures that he told the people featuring in the pictures to image which food items they would like to see on the table.

Instead of depicting poverty and hunger his pictures illustrated insensitivity and lack of dignity.

Mamo shared his photo series on the official Instagram handle of ‘World Press Photo’
