Man who tried to extort ₹30 lakh from Vasant More’s son, arrested by Bharati Vidyapeeth police

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | The people who demanded a ransom of ₹30 lakh after preparing the fake marriage certificate of MNS leader Vasant More had also demanded ransom from a builder. The accused Abdul Khalid Abdul Rauf Sayyad (32), a resident of Bhiwandi in Thane district and hailing from Uttar Pradesh has been arrested by the Bharati Vidyapeeth police. (Pune Crime News)

 

A famous builder had lodged a complaint (77/23) at the Bund Garden police station. The incident took place between 9 pm on March 3 and 11.30 on March 7.

 

According to the police, the accused used names of Muskan Shaikh, Alfia Shaikh, Kubra and Imtez Shaikh and made phone calls, WhatsApp calls and video calls. The complainant was threatened that his sons would be killed and demanded a sum of ₹40 lakh. He was told to keep the money in a Innova car standing opposite Eon IT Park. Anuj Goyal lodged a complaint with the Anti Extortion Cell and an FIR has been registered and senior PI Pratap Mankar is investigating the case.

 

Similarly, Vasant More’s son Rupesh was also getting similar calls. A photo of the marriage certificate mentioning that Rupesh had married a girl was sent to him on WhatsApp. He was also told to keep ₹20 lakh in a car parked opposite EON IT Park. After Rupesh lodged a complaint, the Bharati Vidyapeeth police arrested Abdul Khalid Abdul Rauf Sayyad, a resident of Bhiwandi and hailing from Uttar Pradesh. Seven FIRs are registered against him.
