Man seeking bribe of ₹3 lakh for police inspector turns out be MLA’s cousin; General Secretary of state Congress unit lands in ACB net

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune ACB Trap | The Pune ACB has arrested two persons including an MLA’s cousin for demanding a bribe of ₹3 lakh for a police inspector. Since a large amount of money was demanded as a bribe for a police inspector, the incident has created a flutter. Meanwhile, it has come to light that one of the arrested is a close relative of MLA Sanjay Jagtap. (Pune ACB Trap)

 

The arrested accused have been identified as Akshay Subhash Marne and Ganesh Babanrao Jagtap, a resident of Saswad. The complainant had submitted a complaint at the Saswad police station. Akshay Marne demanded a bribe of ₹3 lakh for PI Gholap to register an FIR. Since Ganesh Jagtap helped Akshay Marne to ask for a bribe, an FIR of bribe has been registered and both of them have been arrested.

 

It has come to light that one of the arrested is a close relative of MLA Sanjay Jagtap. Ganesh Babanrao Jagtap is cousin of MLA Sanjay Jagtap. It is being said that he is General Secretary of Youth Congress state unit. The arrest of Ganesh Jagtap and Marne has sent shock waves in political circles.

 

The action was taken by a team of police officials including DySP Kranti Pawar, PI Sandip Varhade, API Mukund Ayachit, constable Tavre and driver and police constable Pandurang Mali under the guidance of SP Amol Tambe and Addl SP Suraj Gurav.
