Man cheated of Rs 13 lakh on the pretext of getting high returns on investment in crypto trading

A similar crime happened in the city, wherein a man was cheated of Rs 13.76 lakh on the pretext of getting more profit on investing in crypto trading. (Pune Crime News)

 

Pravin Nanaso Rasal (30) from Pune has lodged a complaint at the Cyber Police Station. Accordingly, an FIR has been filed under sections 419, 420 of the IPC and the IT Act against Wilgrat Singh Sahi and the holders and users of a wallet address. The crime has happened since October 2022 till now.

 

According to the police, the suspected accused Wilgrat Singh added the complainant Pravin Rasal to the Reliance Foundation Telegram group having over 1,600 members. The members of the group then colluded and pretended to make huge profits by investing in crypto trading. The accused lured the complainant to invest in crypto currency trading and earn maximum profit in a short period of time.

 

The complainant trusted the accused and invested Rs 13.76 lakh. After investment, he was forced to send Tron (TRX) worth Rs.2,60,758.988 to the mentioned wallet address. But the accused didn’t pay any profit to the complainant and cheated him.
