Man arrested for cheating eight of Rs 11 lakh on the pretext of providing them jobs
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The police arrested a BPO operator who took money from eight youths and cheated them of Rs 11.30 lakh on the pretext of providing them jobs. (Pune Crime News)
The arrested person has been identified as Shrikant Balaji Biradar (30) from Wakad. A 28-year-old man from Pimpri lodged a complaint at the Chatuhshrungi Police Station. The incident took place between March and October 2022 at the Fresher Job Hat at Balewadi High Street.
According to the police, Shrikant Biradar’s firm provides placement to youth. He used to give jobs to youth in BPO companies. He had a company as a client from Bangalore. He took Rs 11.30 lakh and original documents from eight people by luring them into getting work in the company. Some of that money was paid to a company in Bangalore. Later, this company stopped providing work. As a result, Biradar could not provide work to these people. The Chatuhshrungi Police have arrested Biradar and API Kendre is investigating.
