Maharashtra Politics News : Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis accuses Uddhav Govt. of ‘lying’

Mumbai : Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP veteran Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday accused the Aghadi (MVA) government of lying. Devendra Fadnavis has strongly criticized the government on issues like Maratha, OBC reservation, handling of the Covid-19 situation and Sachin Waze’s case. Fadnavis said the government “lies with confidence”.

Addressing the BJP’s state-level convention, Devendra Fadnavis said that the BJP will continue its agitation till the OBC reservation is restored in the local body elections. This reservation was recently cancelled by the High Court.

Fadnavis said, “I think we need to learn something from this government. The way the MVA government confidently spreads lies every day has amazed me. We should learn not to lie to this government but the confidence with which it tells lies. These decisions were canceled due to the steps taken by the NCP-Congress government.

“Till the time political reservation for OBCs is not restored, the state BJP will not allow the MVA government to breathe a sigh of relief,” he said. We will intensify our agitation in the coming days and surround the government. He said that the government is trying to run away from questions by shortening the upcoming monsoon session of the state legislature.

At the same time, referring to the sacked police officer Sachin Waze, the former Chief Minister said that Waze has been caught in the police department. There are many such Waze in every department in the MVA government. We have to clear the system by catching them. Notably, Waze was arrested in connection with the finding of an explosive-laden car near the house of industrialist Mukesh Ambani and later the murder of businessman Mansukh Hiren, after which he has been dismissed from service.
