Maharashtra Politics News : ED raids former home minister Anil Deshmukh’s house

Nagpur : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided the house of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. The ED team is raiding Anil Deshmukh’s house in Nagpur from around 8 am on Friday. As soon as the news came out, Maharashtra politics got heated. After the allegation made by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, a case of money laundering was registered against Anil Deshmukh, for which the ED is continuously interrogating him.

On Friday morning at around 8 am, 7-8 ED officers reached Anil Deshmukh’s house located in the Civil Lines area in Nagpur in two vehicles. CRPF personnel have been deployed outside Deshmukh’s bungalow. Anil Deshmukh is on the radar of ED in a 100 crore recovery case.

For the second time in a month, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided the house of NCP leader Anil Deshmukh. Anil Deshmukh left his post after being accused of corruption.

What is the whole matter?

Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh wrote a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, accusing Anil Deshmukh of giving a target of collecting 100 crores every month to suspended officer Sachin Waze.

Anil Deshmukh had to resign from the post of Home Minister after Parambir Singh’s allegations. Anil Deshmukh resigned as the Home Minister of Maharashtra on 5 April 2021. The resignation came after the Bombay High Court directed the CBI to conduct a preliminary inquiry into the corruption allegations against Deshmukh. A CBI investigation is going on against him in this case.
