Maharashtra Politics News : Anil Deshmukh may appear before ED today, His PA Sanjeev Palande also arrested

Mumbai : Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s personal assistant (PA) Sanjeev Palande and Kundan Shinde were also arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) late on Friday night. Both of them were taken into custody by the ED on Friday afternoon and they were being questioned in connection with the recovery of 100 crores. According to ED sources, Anil Deshmukh has also been summoned and summoned to appear today. He can go to the ED’s office at 11 am where he can be questioned in this matter.

According to the letter of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, Sanjeev Palande is the person who was negotiating between Sachin Waje and Anil Deshmukh in the recovery case of 100 crores. Apart from this, Kundan’s name was also included in this letter and he was also said to be involved in this recovery. Earlier, the ED also questioned Sachin Waze, a former Mumbai Police officer involved in the case.

An ED official said that the Enforcement Directorate has recorded the statement of sacked Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Waze in connection with a money laundering case registered against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. He said that a two-member ED team recorded Waze’s statement on Wednesday, June 23 at Taloja Central Jail in Navi Mumbai. Waze is in jail in judicial custody after an SUV car was found outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence Antilia and arrested in the Mansukh Hiren murder case. Explosives were found in the SUV which was found outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence. The official said the state prison department had given permission to the ED officials to record Waze’s statement in the jail. Two days after Waze was questioned, the ED on Friday searched the premises of Deshmukh and his associates in Nagpur and Mumbai, officials in Delhi said.

Raid on 5 locations of Anil Deshmukh

Earlier on Friday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) searched the premises of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. His political party, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), criticized the action, while the Bharatiya Janata Party said the investigation was being conducted as per the Bombay High Court order and dismissed the allegations of any political motive behind the action. Deshmukh, on the other hand, said that he cooperated fully with the ED officials who met him during searches of his premises as part of the money laundering probe against him. Deshmukh expressed hope that “the truth will come out”.

Officials said the ED conducted searches at the premises of Deshmukh’s Nagpur and his associates in Mumbai as part of a money laundering probe on allegations of bribery of Rs 100 crore against the former home minister. He said that the raids were conducted under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Searches were conducted at Deshmukh’s residence at GPO Chowk in Nagpur and Mumbai premises of his personal secretary Sanjeev Palande and personal assistant Kundan Shinde. Sources said that Palande was brought to the ED office in Mumbai in the afternoon for questioning.
