Solapur CP immediately suspends PI, PSI for dereliction of duty

Solapur : NpNews24 Online –  Maharashtra Police | A reserve police inspector (PI) and a reserve police sub-inspector (PSI) attached to the Solapur Police Commissionerate have been immediately suspended by Commissioner of Police (CP) Harish Baijal for neglecting instructions issued by the senior officers, providing incomplete details of work and dereliction of duty. (Maharashtra Police)

The suspended police officials have been identified as PI Bhagwan V Tone and PSI Nagesh Pawar. CP Baijal has issued their suspension orders.

The suspension order stated that while allotting work to 367 police personnel at the police commissionerate, some personnel were favoured; some were given minor work for months together; injustice was done to some by deploying them at one place only. The ACP (Administration) had instructed them to allot work alternatively to all. The suspended officials ignored the senior official’s instructions. They also did not furnish full details of work allotted. Thus, they have been charged with dereliction of duty. Hence, CP Harish Baijal suspended them.

PI Tone and PSI Pawar violated the rules under the Maharashtra Civil Service Act. Their conduct tarnished the image of Solapur police. The suspended police officials are not allowed to do private service or do any business activity. They will have to furnish a certificate that they are not involved in any business or job while claiming the allowance under the service conditions.
