7,200 police personnel will be recruited in Maharashtra: Dilip Walse-Patil

Ahmednagar : NpNews24 Online Maharashtra Police Recruitment | State Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil on Friday announced that 7,200 police personnel will be recruited in the State. “The state government recruited 5,000 police personnel in the first stage due to manpower shortage in the police department. Now, 7,200 police personnel will be recruited in the second stage. Moreover, the e-post service launched by the district police administration will be implemented across the State,” said Walse-Patil.

 

The Home Minister was on a visit to Ahmednagar. He inaugurated the e-post office on the premises of the office of Superintendent of Police. Later, he addressed the media. “The government is trying to provide necessary facilities to the police personnel. The police should work in the interest of common people. Cyber crime is increasing. The police have been instructed to curb the rising number of cyber crime cases. It has been planned to launch Janata Darbar at the district and taluka levels.”

 

Walse-Patil said construction of buildings for 87 police stations in the State has been sanctioned. Residential quarters will also be built for the police personnel. DIG BG Shekhar, MLA Sangram Jagtap and SP Manoj Patil were present.
