Maharashtra Jobs : Mega recruitment in health department for SEBC category

Mumbai : While resuming the stalled recruitment process in the health department of the Zilla Parishads in the state, it has been decided to fill the posts in the SEBC category for the Maratha community from the open or EWS category. The Rural Development Department issued the order on Monday.

The mega recruitment was advertised in March 2019. It contained advertisements for the posts of Health Supervisor, Pharmaceutical Officer, Male Health Worker, Female Health Worker and Laboratory Technician in Zilla Parishads. The process for that was also started. However, the new order has been issued by the Rural Development Department in the wake of the recent Supreme Court ruling on Maratha reservation.

According to the order, all the candidates who have applied for the post will be eligible for recruitment. With the cancellation of SEBC reservation, they will be given a chance from the open category. Candidates who have filled the application form from SEBC reservation will have to submit their application in the open category between 1st July 2021 to 21st July 2021 and will be required to opt for the Economically Backward (EWS) category. Those who do not offer options will be deemed to be in the open category.

Candidates will be given written test identity card online from 1st August to 5th August 2021. Written examination for the post of Health Supervisor, Pharmaceutical Officer will be held on 7th August 2021. On August 8, 2021, there will be a written test for the posts of Male Health Worker, Female Health Worker and Laboratory Technician. Appointment orders will be issued from 9th August 2021 to 23rd August 2021 after completing the rest of the process.

4% reservation for the specially abled as per the 2016 Act
As per the 2016 Act, the reservation for the disabled has been increased from 3 per cent to 4 per cent, so the revised advertisement will be removed on June 29 or 30. People with disabilities will be able to apply online for the newly added posts between July 1 and July 21, 2021.
