Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray’s wife Rashmi tests corona positive

 

Mumbai : After Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya, his wife Rashmi Thackeray has also been infected with Covid-19. Officials gave this information on Tuesday. The Chief Minister and his wife took their first dose of Corona vaccine at JJ Hospital in Mumbai on 11 March.

Rashmi Thackeray was found infected on Monday night. She is in home isolation at ‘Varsha’. Tourism minister and Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray was also found Covid-19 positive two days before.

BMC officials said that all the people who came in contact with Aditya Thackeray were tested on their behalf on Sunday. In this, his mother Rashmi Thackeray is found positive. On March 11, CM Uddhav Thackeray, along with his wife, went to the JJ Hospital to get the first vaccine for the corona vaccine.

Rashmi Thackeray has minor symptoms of corona. The BMC said that the security personnel and staff posted at the CM residence have also been tested for corona, but all have been found to be negative.

Meanwhile, the chief minister has been hinting at an imminent lockdown in the state if the situation does not improve. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Monday said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was “very worried” about the situation in the state.

The health minister said, “He has requested people to behave responsibly to avoid COVID, otherwise, the government will have to resort to imposing a lockdown. People must adhere to the guidelines.”
