Maharashtra Budget : Indrayani Medicity will be set up near Pune, says Ajit Pawar

Mumbai : NpNews24 Online Maharashtra Budget | Finance Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday presented the state budget for 2022-23. On Thursday, the economic survey was presented. The agricultural sector suffered due to the corona pandemic. But after removal of curbs, there was good news from the services and industry sectors, the economic survey for 2021-22 revealed.

 

Pawar announced that Indrayani Medicity will be set up over 300 acres in Pune and Rs 11,000 crore will be provided for the health sector.

 

While presenting the budget, Pawar said that the work done in the state during the corona pandemic was appreciated in the country. During this period, many corona warriors faced a tough challenge. As a part of the Maze Kutumb Mazi Jababdari programme, 8 crore 74 people have taken the first dose of the corona vaccine and 15 lakh 87 thousand people have been given the booster dose.

 

A fund of Rs 18 crore will be provided to set up trauma centres at Nanded, Jalna, Amravati, Bhandara and Satara. He announced that Rs 11,000 crore will be provided to improve the health infrastructure in the state. Funds of Rs 3,183 crore will be provided for the public health department.

 

Tata Cancer Research Centre will be given land in Khanapur in Raigad district. Under the Shiv Arogya Zilla Yojana, a telemedicine hospital will be set up in each district. Eight mobile cancer diagnosis vehicles worth Rs 8 crore will be provided. Modern equipment will be provided in government hospitals for cataract surgeries. A hospital for women will be set up in Akola, Pawar said.
