Maha Yuti suffers a dent in Shirur Lok Sabha seat

Shirur: Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil’s candidature in Shirur may suffer a big dent. Workers and local leaders of the BJP are not happy with his candidature. BJP leader and Khed-Alandi co-ordinator Atul Deshmukh is planning to leave the party. He is going to quit all his party posts. People are watching his stance after leaving the party.

There has been discontent in the BJP over the issue right from the beginning. However, it is now showing consequences. Atul Deshmukh is a big leader from north Pune district. He is unhappy that the party did not even consult him before extending support to Adhalrao.

A public gathering was announced in Shirur Lok Sabha constituency by the Maha Yuti. However, Atul Deshmukh preferred to stay away from it. Many BJP workers are disenchanted with the decision regarding the candidature. It is visible during the campaign too. Now, urgent meetings of workers are being conducted to take them into confidence. Instructions are being issued. However, Atul Deshmukh has taken direct action of quitting all party posts.

Dr Amol Kolhe is pitted against Adhalrao in the Shirur seat. The Maha Yuti, particularly Ajit Pawar, is desperate to defeat Dr Kolhe. This poll is prestigious in many ways for Ajit Pawar. However, the BJP workers are unhappy. Efforts are being made to placate them.
