Kuwait Takes Strict Measures to Ban the Entry of Indian Citizens, Crisis On 8 Lakh Indians

Kuwait City : Kuwait has taken strict measures to ban the entry of Indian citizens. The Kuwait government announced on Thursday morning that Kuwaiti nationals and expatriates residing in other countries could move in from August 1, excluding those from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Iran and the Philippines.

It is being told that the Indian Ministry of External Affairs is aware of this ban imposed on Indian citizens and is trying to resolve the matter at the administrative level.

According to Arab News report, Rajpal Tyagi, president of India Community Support Group, said that this decision will lead to the loss of jobs for thousands of people who have been trapped in India due to the epidemic.

He said that there are hundreds of families, some of whom have lived in Kuwait and some have been trapped in India, and now they all want to come back. He said that if the people who have gone back on vacation do not return, their jobs can go away, many people’s visas are about to end and if the Kuwait’s decision remains the same then it will not be renewed.

With this, the Government of Kuwait has decided that it will resume international airlines which have been closed for the last three and a half months from August 1. On Tuesday, they have also written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Civil Aviation in this regard and have appealed to the government to restore air services to Kuwait from India.

It is understood from the sources in Kuwait and the statements of the Government of India that a major reason for the ban on the entry of Indian citizens could also be the infighting between India and Kuwait over the flight of aircraft.
