Know your Army this Independence day

The Indian Army has not only ensured territorial integrity and national security but also contributed immensely to national integration and nation building. Its not everyday that one from the city gets a close look at Artillery guns and Infantry weapons.

To commemorate 71th  Independence Day celebrations, the army conducted Know your Army Mela for school going children and NCC cadets at Aurangabad Cantonment on    11 August 2018.  The event included display of wide array of military equipment and weapons, which demonstrated the technological advancement and military might of the Indian Army.

The major attraction of the event was display of Artillery guns and infantry weapons. Around two thousand students from various school at Aurangabad witnessed the display.  The Know Your Army Mela was an effort to intrigue the senses of our youngsters to know more about the army and increase the awareness of the students and local populace about the might of the Indian Army and also to motivate them to serve the nation by joining the armed forces.  The event witnessed great enthusiasm and active participation of the people of Aurangabad and left a deep impact on the hearts and minds of everyone.
