Jammu-Kashmir : 3 terrorists killed in encounter in Shopian

Srinagar : Encounters are going on between security forces and militants in Shopian and Budgam districts of Kashmir. Three militants have been killed by security forces in Shopian. The slain terrorists have not been identified yet. On the other hand, during the encounter in Budgam, an SPO has been martyred. While a jawan is injured.

According to the information, a search operation was launched on the information of the presence of militants in Homehina village of Shopian district of southern Kashmir. Security forces surrounded the entire village and searched house to house. All entry and exit doors are sealed.

During this, the terrorists saw themselves surrounded and started firing on the security forces. Security forces also gave a befitting reply to the terrorists. Three militants were killed by security forces on Friday morning. Two AK-47s and a pistol have been recovered from the slain militants. Sources say that the slain militants belong to Lashkar.

At the same time, the SPO of Jammu and Kashmir Police has been martyred in the Budgam encounter. While a jawan was injured and he has been admitted to the hospital. At present, a search operation is going on in the area. According to Kashmir Zone Police, the martyr SPO has been identified as Mohammad Altaf.
