According to the information, the security forces received accurate information about the presence of militants in Goripura area of Avantipura in South Kashmir after which they cordoned off the area early Saturday and launched a search operation. The encounter started during the operation when the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which the security forces also retaliated. Two terrorists and his partner were killed in this encounter. On Wednesday, four militants were killed in an encounter with security forces.
