IPL 2020 : After Amazon, MNS Warns Disney+ Hotstar To Start Marathi Commentary Option

Mumbai : After targeting the world’s largest e-commerce company Amazon, MNS has now shifted its focus to IPL 2020. The IPL is reviewed in other Indian languages on Disney Hotstar. Due to this, MNS has now sent a letter directly to Disney Hotstar Company for commenting in Marathi as well.

Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena had shifted its focus to e-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart. Amazon, Flipkart should launch their app in Marathi in the next seven days, otherwise their Diwali will be in MNS style, such warning was given by MNS leader Akhil Chitre on behalf of MNS. Chitre had sent an e-mail to Amazon regarding the use of Marathi language. Amazon.in’s public relations arm has now responded to it on behalf of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. “Bezos has received your mail. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to you due to errors in the Amazon app. Your complaint has been reported to the relevant department and will be acted upon shortly,” Amazon explained.

Now MNS Kamgar Sena secretary Ketan Naik has given a letter to Disney Hotstar Company. In which it has been demanded that Disney should add Marathi language, like other regional languages. IPL is reviewed in Hindi, English, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali. However, the app does not have Marathi. Your company headquarter is in Mumbai. The Marathi audience of IPL is also large, you seem to have forgotten to add Marathi language, said MNS. Naik has also tweeted about this.

‘If there is any difficulty in commenting on IPL cricket matches in Marathi, we will cooperate as necessary, but if you are ignoring this, you’ll be in trouble,’ he tweeted.

In another tweet, he also promised to help Hotstar if he could not find a Marathi commentator or had difficulty finding one. Why cricket commentary can not be in Marathi language? There is more than one such great commentator in Maharashtra. We will find out if needed, he said.
