Ink attack on State Minister Chandrakant Patil in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Pimpri : NpNews24 Online  –  Ink was thrown at Pune Guardian Minister and State Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Saturday. As he was leaving the venue of an event, ink was suddenly thrown at him. Police have detained the person and his accomplice who threw ink on him. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

 

Patil had said, “Why depend on the government to start schools or colleges? Mahatma Jotiba Phule, Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar started many schools and colleges. The government did not give them subsidies at that time. They did not start and run schools by begging.” These remarks kicked up a controversy. Ink was thrown on Chandrakant Patil while coming out of the programme in the twin towns to protest over the rmarks.
