Industries play a major role in promote artificial intelligence

Artificial Intelligence has been used in diverse applications like searching a location in an unknown space or doing a crucial surgery successfully. Artificial Intelligence was discovered many decades ago but its industries today have played a major role in promoting it cited IIT Bhilai’s director Rajat Moona.

He spoke on artificial intelligence and businesses in the post-opening session at the Industry 4.0 conference organized by Mahesh Industrial group. The conference was inaugurated in the gracious presence of Ashwni Maheshwari(Chief Executive officer of India Business), Vishwakarma University’s chancellor-principal Siddarth Jabde and industrialist Dattatraya Navalgundkar. Mahesh Industrial Group’s president Rahul Dhoot, vice-president Anand Karva, secretary Manoj Zanvar, treasurer Aditya Muchal, Rahul Mehta, Ashish Daliya were amongst the other dignitaries present at the inauguration ceremony. The conference witnessed guidance by Girikant Avadhanula(Director, SAP), Atul Marathe, Anup Tapadia, Sivaram P.V, Tomio Isogoi, Nikhil Agrawal, Ajay Gurjar(Robotics Expert) and many more dignitaries from various sectors. Punekars were able to witness the demonstration of robots.

Prof. Rajat Moona said that natural and artificial intelligence has been developing since past many decades but the use of artificial intelligence has increased rapidly in the recent years. Data Management, Collaborative computing, intelligence has created a revolution in the field of technology. Artificial Intelligence has been used widely in sending couriers by using drones, driverless cars, surgeries using robotics which has increased its usage in healthcare, communications, education and many other sectors. He further said that industrial sector will need to discover new concepts in the future using machine learning. Industries need to develop new methods and ordinary people should be able to benefit out of them.

Ashwini Maheshwari said that industries created various products in initial phases which marked the first industrial revolution. Later the second industrial revolution took place when technology was created to develop multiple products at the same time. It was an automation era after that and now is the 4th industrial revolution which is Industry 4.0 where advanced technology will smartly catalyze with internet & will provide consumer focused service. This will benefit industries with leveraged production & quality, decreased costs and saving time.

Dattatraya Navalgundkar said that Industry 4.0 revolution has helped in creating new concepts which will create more job opportunities to the youngsters in India. Educational organizations, skilled man-power and industries should be brought together to achieve this.

The conference had discussions and guidance by various speakers on SME business opportunities, threats and challenges in cyber world, use of big data for effective production and management in SME, investment returns on robotics and automation, simulations on AR and VR etc. Various industries presented and demonstrated their products and services during the conference.
