Indus International School boy found hanging

A 17-year-old student of Indus International School at Bhukum in Mulshi Taluka, was allegedly found hanging in his hostel room on Saturday morning. Police suspect it to be a suicide case.

The deceased has been identified as Nishchay Akash Garg, a native of Chandigarh. He studied in class 11th in the school located in Angrewadi locality of Bhukum. He lived in the senior boys hostel.

According to police, Garg allegedly hanged himself with electric wire from window grill of his room between 11 pm on August 31 to 8 am September 1.

Based on information from Ganesh Angre of Angrewadi, Pune rural police has registered a case of accidental death (AD) with Paud police station.

After post-mortem at Sassoon hospital, Pune, the body was handed over to his relatives for the last rites.

Police said that the reason behind his extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
