IIT -BHU to teach, how to be ‘Ideal daughter in law’

We know that there are various courses to become doctors, engineers, lawyers. However, the special course started for making ‘Ideal daughter in law’ and it becomes a new topic for discussion. Banaras Hindu University’s Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) initiated this three months course.

Lessons will be given for making ‘Ideal daughter in law’ and a curriculum created under ‘My daughter-My pride’ campaign with one private organization. Banaras Hindu University always focuses on skill development programs with the regular syllabus for students. And as part of it, they have designed this three months course.

The CEO of ‘Young Skilled India’ Niraj Shrivastava said, “The course is designed by keeping in mind the rising problems in society. Before starting the course we took the opinions of some girls and their parents. Most of them welcomed the course and we will start the selection process soon.”

This course will teach things like confidence building, stress management while problem-solving. Along with this, there will be some computer-based and fashion courses for skills improvement.

People’s views on it:

Some people have welcomed this course as it will help women to learn various skills, build confidence and teach behavioral science. Also, some people also said that it will help to reduce conflicts in family teaching ethics to girls, as this issue is common in almost every home.

Some people have also criticized this course saying it is not necessary to commence such course as it will bound ladies only up to ‘Chul ani Mul’ meaning cooking good and handle children. Savitribai Phule started teaching women and now BHU wants to limit their scope and keep them only limited to household works.
