IAS Shekhar Singh | PCMC Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil transferred; Shekhar Singh appointed new civic chief
Pimpri : NpNews24 Online – IAS Shekhar Singh | The Municipal Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad, Rajesh Patil, has been transferred and Shekhar Singh has been appointed in his place. Rajesh Patil has been transferred on the orders issued by Additional Chief Secretary Nitin Gadre. There are whispers in the municipal corporation that Shekar Singh has been appointed against the background of the forthcoming municipal elections. (IAS Shekhar Singh)
When the MVA was in power, Shravan Hardikar was replaced with Rajesh Patil as the new chief of PCMC. Now, after Shinde-Fadnavis government is in place, Rajesh Patil has been transferred. In his place, former district collector of Satara, Shekhar Singh has been appointed.
Rajesh Patil who is from 2005 batch and belongs to Odisha cadre, was appointed as civic chief in Pimpri Chinchwad on February 15, 2021. He had a tenure of 18 months as the civic chief. During his tenure, he strived towards increasing cleanliness, providing employment to transgenders and carried out other development works. Patil also took many decisions after he was appointed as the administrator of the civic body.
